Let’s all take a second and pray.
Dear heavenly Father,
Our nation and our entire world has become distant from you. We have become violent people. The world has become a very violent place and we are in desperate need of your grace and love. We are no longer a “nation under God”. We have become a nation of pure selfishness.
God, I pray that You can heal the individuals who have lost their family and loved ones due to the attacks in Florida, in Texas, and today in Nice, France. I pray that You heal their broken hearts, and that You come to those who are crying your name. I pray You put peace inside their hearts. I pray You forgive those who have spent a majority of their life very distant from You, and seek to find your everlasting love today and I pray that they find it.
This world has become an evil place, full of hate. I pray You allow those with hate in their heart to find Your love.
I pray for the world, God.
My heart is breaking over all the lives that have been lost recently. My heart is also breaking for how distant so many individuals have become to You. I do try to ignore the evil in the world and do my best to focus on positive things, but with all that has been happening, it has really put things into perspective for me tonight. God, I pray that you allow those who also have broken hearts like me tonight, that you work through us all. That you use us tonight, or tomorrow or next week or next month. I pray that you help us save lives by preaching your word. To help someone who is becoming distant from your love, to become close with you again. To help those who don’t even know you, to know you.
We see #BlackLivesMatter and #BlueLivesMatter and even #AllLivesMatter.
But what do our lives even mean when we don’t have You in them? What do they mean when we preach for peace but act out in hate?
We are Your children. We were yesterday, and we are today, and we will be tomorrow.
God’s children has no discrimination. It is a community of love, peace, pride and happiness. Your everlasting love, the peace we receive from Your word, pride in being Your children, and the happiness of knowing and accepting You as our Lord and Savior
Today we are Gods children and #GodsChildrenMatter.
God, I pray that you save our country, and you save our very very broken world.
John 16:33: “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
Philippians 4:6-7: “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
